Acupuncture

Acupuncture is an ancient healing tradition that treats and supports the whole individual experiencing any number of health challenges. Acupuncture utilizes the patient’s observed body wisdom, the 12 pulses, meridians of chi flow, acupuncture points, and small, sterile, whisker-like needles to redirect, balance, and unblock the body’s flow of chi. Appropriate chi flow facilitates relief from symptoms and promotes the body’s ability to heal. Acupuncture treatments are tailored to the specific needs of each person, enhancing its effectiveness.

Acupuncture is an effective treatment for a number of health challenges. Everyone can benefit from treatment. Below are just a few common health challenges that acupuncture can help with:

  • Allergies/Sinus
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Digestion
  • Fatigue
  • Fertility
  • Incontinence
  • Insomnia
  • Menstrual Cycle
  • Menopausal Symptoms
  • Migraines/Headaches
  • Pain management
  • Well Being
  • And many more!

Community Acupuncture

Community acupuncture is a movement that began in Portland, OR by a former Baltimore native (Lisa Rohleder). Her mission was to make the healing power of acupuncture available and affordable for everyone in her community. In community acupuncture, patients are treated in a group setting. Each person is seated in a reclining chair during treatment. The practitioner tends to each individual in turn. Once the needles have been inserted, everyone rests in a healing space together.

Community Auricular Acupuncture

Auricular or "Ear" acupuncture is the treatment of health challenges with points located on the ear. The ear (like the tongue, hands, and feet) is a microcosm of the whole body. Different parts of the ear correspond to different parts of the body. Community Auricular treatment utilizes a specific set of points called the NADA protocol or 5 Needle protocol. The protocol was originally designed for addiction recovery settings. This 5 Needle protocol has a generalizing detoxing and relaxing affect making it useful for everyone engaged in a busy and often stressful life.
